On a skateboarding mini game (e.g. Sunny Villa), when going jumps, press x to get extra height and then press triangle and use the directional buttons to direct your flip.
Beat Spike
Although it seems impossible (for most gamers, anyway) here is how you beat Spike. At the start, ram the red balls Sgt. Byrd drops down into the arena at Spike. After about 3-4 hits he'll crack the floor. Then Sgt. Byrd will start dropping red and blue crystals. Red=1 shot superflame powerup. Blue=a bomb. Use these until Spike is dead.
